Amy O'Keefe! You're the next contestant on the Price is Right! COME ONNN DOWWNN

Only 32 more days until Christmas! How do I know this you ask? Simple, because instead of waking up to an alarm clock yesterday morning I woke up at 6AM to the singing of "It's Christmas, it's Christmas, it's Christmas, it's Christmas, it's Christmas, it's Christmas, it's Christmas, it's Christmas, it's Christmas" .... I think you get my point. On the way to school R was telling me everything she wants for Christmas, and I ask her, "Are you going to be talking about Christmas every day now?" She bluntly answers, "Yes." So on the way to school we meet up with her classmate (not friend cus R doesn't like boyyys), C. R tells C (a rather ... simple boy) that there are only 32 days until Christmas. C responds "Oh really?? The other day it was 39... boy, time sure does fly doesn't it?" You would have thought he was an old man the way he said it - as if it were AGES ago. Then he shows R his juice from his lunch box and says "You know, this tastes like wine but it's de-alcoholed". I'm thinking this kid's talkin about his grape juice. Then he comes up to me and says the same thing. I ask, "Is it grape juice?" He replies, "No, it's wildberry. It's a cooler. Like wine without the alcohol." Hopefully there ACTUALLY wasn't alcohol in it. Or maybe the boy's just full of it, or his mom tells him that so he'll think it's cool and actually drink it! Anyway, this C fellow is pretty entertaining.

So every day at lunch R loves to watch The Price is Right. She knows all of the games and gets right into the show, sometimes standing and jumping around when people win big. Anyway, we're walking back from school yesterday in the WIND and RAIN and R yells out, "R! you're the next contestant on The Price is Right! COME ON DOWWN!" and she SCREAMS and acts out her run down to the contestants' row. Then she calls out, "Amy O'Keefe you're the next contestant on The Price is Right!! COME ON DOWWN!!". Here is my impression: "Yeah, whatever." Proceeded by a cool gangsta walk down to contestants' row. This continued back and forth the whole way home - us imitating different ways we would "come on down". I'm sure we looked/sounded like idiots the whole way home - jumping, running and screaming - but it was fun and hilarious. I think the wind and rain added to the whole thing. For one of my impressions I yelled out "YEAH" (like lil' jon) and ran on down. R found it hilarious, not for the same reasons as me but it worked.
