Les Boys
With a new fresh coat of snow on the ground, it only makes sense to start a snowball fight with the boys on the way home for lunch (totally MY idea!). It was all fun and games throwing snowballs back and forth with A and B... until R decided to take it one step too far and shove a snowball right in A's face (totally on purpose!). So that ended that. Poor sweet innocent A did not seem too impressed. When we got home a conversation about boys begins:
R: Hannah told me who sheeee likes.
Amy: Oh yeah? Who does Hannah like?
R: Huuunterrrrr
Amy: Ohhhh and is there anybody youuu like?
R: Well yeah...
Amy: OOOooo whooo?
R: Well I have a list.
Amy: heh heh... Who's on your list??
*silence*
Amy: Is Aaaalex on your list?
*silence*
Amy: He IS isn't he?
R: *finally gives in* yeahhh
Amy: Who else is on your list?
R: Well there's Nathan... He's funny and smart and cute and EVERYTHING!
*conversation about the list continues for a while*
R: Who was on your list when you were my age?
Amy: Ahhh that's a long time ago, I don't really remember... I told you about Jesse though (aside: Jesse was my long-time crush from grades 1-3 and then again in grade 6. Unfortunately he was 'going out with' Bridgette.)
R: Yeah but he had another girlfriend... Who do you like now?
Amy: Uhh... Nobodyyy...
R: Well don't you get that feeling when you talk to boys?
Amy: What feeling?
R: I dunno! I don't get it! H does though.... ya know, THAT FEELING! It's just a feeling... I don't really like anyone. H does though.
Amy: What about your list?
R: Yeah, I don't like them.
I think she does. Now I am remembering all my elementary crushes. And I moved around a lot, so I had many crushes. I remember this boy Scott, from grades 1-3, he was the "gross boy". He used to look up my dress and chase me, trying to kiss me at recess. One day in grade one, on the bus, he tried to get me to sit on his face.... ? weirrd.
